About the burner

How to raise combustion efficiency?
We'd told about the combustion efficiency, while the CO of flue gas after boiler equal 0, that means combustion efficiency is 100%.
In this case, we could define burner combustion efficiency by O2 value of the flue gas in advance.
In boiler industry, especially in fuel is Natural Gas, we more focus on O2 value.
Since Oxygen concentration would make flame burning violently, Oxygen content would make fuel using increasing.
In order to save energy, that means saving money, it's an important issue to control the O2 value below specific percent.
By using burner combustion efficiency analyzer, we could understand the adjustment situation to achieve more fitable O2 value.
In general, the fitable O2 value would be 2-3% with fuel using Natural Gas and have 5-6% for using Fuel oil as fuel.
It also based on engineer's determine on site to adjust the value, since every place has its own conditions. -
What is combustion efficiency?
The definition of combustion efficiency is while CO=0 ppm after burning, combustion efficiency = 1, called "complete combustion".
Combustion efficiency is different from fuel to fuel.
According to fuel's ingredients, engineer would need to change the adjustment methods of site work. -
What is the elements of combustion?
When it comes to burning, people also mentioned "the elements of combustion".
So what is "the elements of combustion"?
We all knew that we need fuel and fire to burn, but we'd always forgotten the air. More accuratly we need Oxygen.
Like teachers had told us in our senior high school, while the Oxygen comes more the fire getting bigger.
And if the Oxygen comes little or even disappear, the fire would become smaller and turn to go out.
So, the elements of combustion meaning this three elements that you'd need to keep flame burning.
Divided to Fuel, Burning point and Oxygen.
Oxygen:
The elements to help burning. while Oxygen increase, the flame comes bigger.
Fuel:
The charcoal, light oil, gasoline etc. are all the fuel in daily life.
In boiler industrial, we often use Natural Gas, Liquid Petroleum Gas, and Fuel oil as fuel.
The pollution rank which is produced after burning in the same conditions would be Fuel oil to Natural Gas from high to low.
Normally, we would choose fuel type according to the local environment legislation limits
Fuel need to be provided to burner, in order to operate the whole boiler system.
Burning point:
Everything have its own burning point, for instance like industiral diesel is about 350 to 380℃ and Natural Gas is about 650℃.
We need to provide the enough temperature to make the flame formation.
In boiler industrial, always is ignitor doing this job whatever by providing high electricity voltage or mother fire.
Once the burning point is stable, the control valve would open and have the fuel goes in, then it comes the main fire. -
What is a burner?
An equipment in which fuel and air are mixed that makes flame to heat up the medium.
The broadly concept of burners, such as lighters, water heaters, and gas stoves are one types of burners.
According to the type and application field, it is divided into industrial burners, burners, civil burners, special burners, etc.
As a highly automated mechatronics equipment,
The function of burner can be divided into five major systems:
a.Air supply system
b.Ignition system
c.Monitoring system
d.Fuel system
e.Electric control system
We'll follow this path to introduce after.
